HISTORICAL NOTE

Located in northwest Troup County, the Abbottsford Gin Company was in operation as early as 1910 and as late as 1933. During the late 1920's and early 1930's, the Abbottsford Gin Company was a member of the Georgia Cotton Growers Co-operative Association.

SCOPE AND CONTENT

The collection consists of financial records related to the Abbottsford Gin Company from 1930-1933. They include a receipt book, a cotton prospect report and financial statements from the Georgia Cotton Growers Co-operative Association, and a bill of sale from the Batson-Cook Company
