The Ivy Garden Club started in May of 1971 as part of the Elms and Roses Garden Council of LaGrange. The club holds competitions and frequently displays arrangements made by members. The club also took part in various beautification and celebratory activities. Of these were the Bicentennial Celebration in 1976 and a beautification project for the Confederate Veterans statue. The club also took part in a project with the LaGrange City School System for the celebration of Arbor Day and the 1985 Tour of Homes in cooperation with the Holly Garden Club.
