The Holly Garden Club was founded in 1974 as part of the Elms and Roses Garden Club Council. The club has taken part in flower shows and numerous beautification projects in the LaGrange area. The Holly Garden Club has been involved with maintaining the grounds of the Troup County Courthouse and, in 1980, erected a bronze plaque for the Confederate Memorial. The 1985 Christmas tour of homes was hosted by both the Holly Garden Club and the Ivy Garden Club with proceeds going to re-landscape LaFayette Square. The club has also worked with local schools on beautification projects. The club became inactive in May 2005.
