Elbert O. "Bart" Brand (b. 6-4-1929; d.10-10-05), son of Tom and Winnie Wood Brand, was born in Troup County. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, a Free & Accepted Mason and a retiree from Callaway Mills Company. His wife is the former Loette Crenshaw.
SCOPE AND CONTENT:
The collection consists of memorabilia associated with Brand's military service in Korea. Included are his dog tags and various badges, patches and insignias. The collection contains a badge of the 1st Calvary Division, and insignias for the 14th Armored Cavalry Regiment (Suivez Moi) and the 7th Cavalry Regiment (Gary Owen). Photographs from Brand's military years are included in the collection.
